  • Is there a dress code at Íontas?
    There is no official dress code for Íontas Theatre. Most people will dress smart casual; however some guests may choose to use the event as an opportunity to dress up. We want you to enjoy your experience and be comfortable. We just kindly ask you wear appropriate clothing and footwear at all times.
  • Is there free parking?
    Yes, there is ample free parking towards the front & back of Íontas Theatre. However, on busy nights, we would urge customers to arrive early to events.
  • Is the theatre wheelchair accessible?
    All foyers within the Venue are wheelchair accessible including the theatre, box office, and gallery café and bar.
  • What payment methods does Íontas Theatre accept?
    Tickets can be purchased by cash or credit/debit card. The credit and debit cards accepted for payments are Visa, MasterCard and Laser over the telephone, in person and online.
  • Who do I contact for lost property?
    If you lose property after attending a show at the Íontas, please contact reception as soon as possible on 042 9753400 during our office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00pm to 5.00pm). Lost property found will be sorted at reception when it has been handed in at the venue.
  • Does the Box Office provide cash back?
    We regret that our Box Office does not provide cash back services.
  • Why are my contact details requested when purchasing a ticket and what do you do with that information?
    When you book a ticket at Íontas Theatre, your personal information will be held in our database for the purposes of contacting you regarding an event should we need to. Your information will not be disclosed to any third parties. You will be asked if you want to be included in our Mailing List. If you agree, we will send you the Íontas Theatre weekly E-Newsletter to the email address that you have given us. On occasion, we may send you information on special offers or competitions for shows that may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive information from us, please tell us at the time of booking. Íontas Theatre also operates a fortnightly text message service, whereby subscribers will have the option to 'Opt Out'.
  • Is there food and alcohol served at Íontas?
    We do serve both at our Gallery Café and Bar. Both of theses are open before, during the interval and after performances/shows.
  • Can I bring food or drink into the theatre?
    No food is permitted in the auditorium. Drink is permitted in plastic glasses, which are available at the bar. No glasses or glass bottles are permitted in the theatre.
  • How do I book tickets online?
    To buy a ticket, you will need to select a particular show and a price level, if there is more than one. After that, you will be required to enter the amount of tickets you want to purchase. You will have the option to choose your own seats or the best available. If you have an account with Íontas Theatre, you will be asked to login. If you do not have an account, the system will ask you to set one up. Enter your credit card details (payment by Visa or MasterCard only) and select the "Buy tickets" button. You will be offered the option of printing your own Print at Home ticket or alternatively you can opt for picking your ticket up from the Box Office. You will then receive an email confirming your booking. Please print this document and bring it to Íontas Theatre, if you are collecting your tickets at Box Office.
  • Is there a booking fee?
    At present, there is a €1.00 booking administration fee on all ticket purchases. This is included as part of the advertised price. The booking fee goes toward covering the administration costs that Íontas Theatre incurs in the process of selling a ticket, such as credit card processing fees, bank charges, box office staffing and agent/administration fees.
  • Can I reserve tickets?
    No, unfortunately Íontas Theatre cannot reserve tickets.
  • What is a Concession ticket?
    A concession ticket is a reduced price ticket that may be available to the following: Children (18 years and under) Student Card Holders Senior Citizens (65 years and over with identification) Many of the shows have concessions available, and they must be requested at time of booking. Concessions not requested at the time of booking cannot be allocated later. Proof of eligibility will be required when collecting tickets. Please note that not all shows have concessions available, as they are at the discretion of the promoter of the event.
  • Do I need a ticket for young children?
    Yes, for health, safety and comfort reasons, we recommend that all children 2 years and over require a ticket to enjoy a show in Íontas theatre.
  • Can I get a refund or exchange tickets for another show?
    Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded, unless a performance has been cancelled. Please note that events are subject to change.
  • What is the validity of a gift voucher?
    Íontas Theatre gift vouchers are valid for 5 years from date of purchase. Whereby a show is sold out at time of redemption of gift voucher, a customer may choose to redeem their voucher against an alternative show.
  • Can a gift voucher be redeemed for cash?
    No, gift vouchers are transferrable, but cannot be redeemed for cash.
