AFRICA – DR THOMAS HEAZLE PARKE, OF THE GENERAL DISPENSARY IN
BALLYBAY, CO MONAGHAN.

THIS TALK IS PRESENTED BY CATHERINE MCGUINNESS

PART STORYTELLING, PART INTERACTIVE SHOW, ACROSS AFRICA EVOKES A TIME
LONG GONE, WHERE ADVENTURERS WERE THE ROCK STARS OF THE TIME AND MOST
OF AFRICA WAS WAITING TO BE EXPLORED.

The show will be from 11am - 12.00 Monday 19th August, 2019 in Íontas Theatre

About Catherine McGuinness

Coming from a background in ecology and natural history, Catherine has visited festivals and libraries for over fifteen years. Her areas of interest include Irish wildlife, industrial and agricultural history, Irish explorers, storytelling, garden projects, landscapes and the origin of place names. She regularly has events in the National Museum of Ireland and the EPIC museum in Dublin, as well as working with the RDS, Festival of Curiosity and Science Week.
